Life Rises
From May 2019 to February 2020 I developed this design with my mind contemplating the phenomenon of life rising to the level that can think, make symbols and arrange colors in a meaningful way. There is resistance but ultimately life will rise. Below are some stages in the process of the design.
1.) My point of departure was employing autonomic asemic writing with oil pastels on paper which created a collection of symbols that seem tribal.
2.) I scanned it into Photoshop and turned it vertical, then applied the dry brush art filter.
3.) With the A-line dress template on a layer below, I stretched and painted with the "wet oil paint" brush.
4.) The final design fits many applications for apparel, home decor, blankets, bags, mouse pads, and some 89 other items found HERE.
